Righteous Tears | Film Project

I began this project of articulating the emotion of the eyes through dance a few weeks ago. I was moved by a video my partner made and I had this itch to create something out of it. Deep emotions that pull us into a place of weeping are powerful and I was curious if I could use movement to communicate what this video made me feel.

I wrote some things to articulate this as well.

Righteous Tears

~ the body processes through micro movements that may be invisible to the naked eye

the muscle shimmer after a hard cry

pulsating to the memory of the shakes that came with the cry

muscle memory in the iris
